Stride and Edge Camp will focus on teaching players optimal posture and technique for skating. Creating positive joint angles and lean angles are crucial to efficient skating speed, agility and stability. Once posture is established, the camp will proceed into using that posture to execute proper forward stride mechanics, linear cross-overs, and transition skating.
This camp will focus on advanced skating deception and teach players how to utilize their outside edge to create deceptive change of directions to create more time space and opportunity to make plays.
Defensemen will be taught highly advanced skating techniques to use when defending both on the rush and in-zone. Learning to minimize and eliminate crossovers when defending is crucial to be efficient and minimize risk of being beat.
Camp will focus on techniques and postures to better prepare you to receive contact and to properly check to eliminate possession for your opponent. Learning how to shift your weight properly, pivot steps, and other advanced techniques to create a strong base to win battles and avoid contact situations when possible.
This camp will focus on advanced skating deception and teach players how to utilize your inside edges for quick cuts and deceptive maneuvers. Can be used in numerous skill blends and stacks including retrievals, shooting, passing/receiving, etc.
Defensemen will be taught the art of retrieving pucks in the defensive zone and how to become an elite puck moving defensemen. Learn how to gain time by processing situations better, gain body position and use advanced deception to create more time and space to make the best available play.
To play at an elite level a player must have the ability to shoot and make plays in stride. Most players are taught a very outdate way to shoot and this camp will help players learn and advance their ability to shoot inside multiple skating patterns with elite deception.
This camp will focus on using deception to make better plays. Skills/Tactics will include: look off passing, subtle stickhandling and full body motions to create more space, hook/slip passing to deliver the puck in tight areas and much more.
In todays game, defensemen need to be mobile and offensively skilled. This camp will work on skating techniques, deception skills and tactical reads to create offense on the rush from the D-zone and NZ reload situations.
